Toll Tracker – Average Speed Measurement App
Hello! Today I want to present a mobile app designed to measure your average speed – Toll Tracker.
Out of all the apps that have recently appeared, this is the only one that truly caught my attention, and you can tell it’s been developed with real thought and purpose.
The app is available for both Android and iOS. It can run in the background, and on Android it can even overlay on top of Waze, allowing you to use Waze while also seeing your average speed—very useful and convenient. (The widget overlay on top of Waze works only on Android devices! On iPhones, the system does not allow such a widget to be activated.)
Let’s talk a bit more about the app itself and why it’s good to have it installed on your phone:
At the moment, there are already several road segments in Bulgaria where average speed is measured by toll cameras. However, in typical local fashion, there are no signs indicating the start or end of these zones, nor the recommended average speed to maintain. Many of you might say: “Just follow the posted speed limits and you’ll be fine,” but it’s not exactly that simple. You might be driving above the limit in some areas or below the limit because of slower traffic ahead, and afterward, you no longer know whether you fall within the allowed average speed.
This causes delayed arrival times, traffic jams, and many similar issues.
Unfortunately, Waze does not measure your actual average speed—it only notifies you when you enter such a zone. In some versions, it only alerts you that you’ve entered an average-speed segment but does not indicate where it ends. In most cases, you even need to set a route for the average speed notifications to appear, which overall is quite ineffective.
This is where Toll Tracker comes to the rescue. When you enter an average-speed zone, the app notifies you. If you exceed the allowed average speed, you receive both visual and audio alerts. Depending on your personal settings, it can also send reminders while you’re inside the segment—and it includes many other useful features.
For me personally, driving without something that measures my average speed—whether an app or a detector—has become too risky. You often find yourself unsure whether you’re breaking the rules or not.
Back to the app: unlike others rushed to market, this one really stands out. It actually launched over a month ago, but I waited before writing this review. I wanted the app to be polished, stable, and functioning properly. Now I can confidently recommend it to you as a very solid option.
Of course, like everything, it does have one downside—it is paid. But don’t rush to close the article, because there’s also some good news:
You can get a 30% discount on all subscription plans using promo code: daleksandrov30
And even without the discount, the prices set by the developers are quite reasonable.
The monthly subscription costs 7.99 BGN, and with my 30% discount, you get it for 5.49 BGN per month—basically the price of a coffee with soda. A very acceptable cost for what the app offers.
You can view all prices here.
Standard prices before the discount:
How to use the discount:
Step 1:
After creating an account and opening the app, tap the button “Have a promo code?”
Step 2:
Enter the promo code DALEKSANDROV30 and tap CONTINUE.
Step 3:
When you press BUY ACCESS NOW, you’ll see the new prices with the 30% discount applied.
Promo code 30%: daleksandrov30
Don’t forget to enter the promo code at the beginning, otherwise the system won’t apply the discount!
As always, I only recommend good, reliable products—and this is one of them.
Take advantage of the offer while it’s still available.
Drive safely, everyone!
